Mari Wilensky has been involved in pageantry
for many years. Mari was Miss Florida 2005 and was a Top Ten
Finalist in the Miss America Pageant in 2006. She has
also held titles in the USA pageant system and competed in the Miss
Florida USA Pageant in the past. She has been very
involved in her community and has had the opportunity to speak for
many different philanthropic organizations. She was a speaker
for the "Speaking on Women's Health" event in Jacksonville
presenting on the topic of self-image, including eating disorder
issues. She spoke at the University of Florida for "Step Up
and Step Out", an event geared to help college women stand up for
themselves and take a stand against peer pressure by having a
positive self-image. Mari was born
and raised in Jacksonville and is a graduate of the University of
Florida with a degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences. She
received her Master in Clinical Social Work from Florida
International University and currently works as a School Social
Worker in Tampa, Florida. She is also a very accomplished and
talented vocalist. |
