Marissa's

Community Involvement

"The Children of Pediatric Hospice"

Northeast Florida Community Hospice Foundation

During her reign as Miss Jacksonville USA 2012, Marissa will be continuing her involvement with this cause and plans to use her title to bring more awareness to this hospice program.

Marissa, wearing both hats as Miss Jax USA and as a Jaguar Roar Cheerleader, participated in a bowling fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House here in Jacksonville.   She was there with other local celebrities including various Jaguar football players.   The Jacksonville Ronald McDonald House is the cornerstone program of Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Jacksonville. The 30-bedroom facility offers lodging and other support services for families with critically ill, chronically ill or seriously injured children being treated in Jacksonville. Since 1988, the House has served more than 25,000 families. The services provided to families staying at the House help to reduce the amount of stress placed upon them while their child is undergoing medical care. Families are kept together and close to the hospital in an environment that supports their physical and emotional needs.
