At midnight (yes, I said midnight!), I judged Relay for Life's Mr. Relay Pageant. The pageant was for guys only, and all of the guys had to dress up like girls. It was HILARIOUS seeing men in makeup and strutting around in heels! Needless to say, I was laughing my head off the entire competition! It was the funniest pageant that I have ever seen! But even before I judged the pageant, I walked for six hours for Relay for Life to show support in finding a cure for cancer. The experience made me realize how grateful I am to be healthy, and it helped me become more aware of how serious this disease is. After I walked for cancer, I took my first Zumba class at the event. It was very cold outside, so all of the dancing warmed me up! It was a lot of fun! Following the energetic class, everyone walked the track during the heartfelt luminary ceremony, which honors all of the survivors and all of the people who have died from cancer. It was a solemn moment, and made me think of friends and relatives that I have who currently have cancer and the ones who have survived it. This event made me more empathetic about curing cancer and made me want to help in finding a cure.
