C.H.E.F.

Caring for & Helping our Elderly Friends

As a teen in today’s society, Alyse realizes how important it is to get involved in the community, seeing what a difference each one of us can make.   She tries to get involved in many things, but one thing Alyse cares so much about is the elderly population.  For as long as she can remember, she has loved relating with senior citizens.   Also as a Florida resident, Alyse is well aware that Florida is the leader in elderly population, so there is no better place for her to get involved. So much time in volunteerism is spent with the youth and younger children, but the elders need just as much attention as we give every other member in society.

C.H.E.F. is a campaign that Alyse started to glorify God and to benefit the lives of elderly people in need. It is her goal to encourage youth in the community to hop on board with her platform, and make a difference.   It is also Alyse's goal to expand C.H.E.F’s to a much larger scale.

As Miss Duval County Teen, Alyse has extensive plans to involve others in her campaign. With the current rate of teenage volunteerism on the rise, and the need for community service hours for college bound teens, she looks forward to many teens volunteering. The beauty of this program, however, is two-fold: not only does it provide services to a much-needed and often-neglected segment of our population, it brings generations together to share one of the most wonderful gifts of humanity:   friendship.
